All 3 streams polluted at Kya Sands

Mysterious 3-metre-high towers of foam are polluting the Klein Pampoenspruit and feeding into the Klein Jukskei river, warn residents such as business-management consultant Gavin Tonks, who sent pictures of the pollution to the Radio 702 news pages. Residents in Kya Sands north of Johannesburg are reportedly  deeply worried about the high pollution levels in the three streams in the area. http://www.eyewitnessnews.co.za/articleprog.aspx?id=62369

Juan de Villiers, 38, shot dead defending wife

Juan de Villiers, shot dead defending his life-partner in Mayberry Park, Alberton home

2011-04-01 Afrikaner dad Juan de Villiers, 38, fought to the death to protect his life-partner from armed killers at their home in Mayberry Park, Alberton on April 1 2011. His life-partner Ms Jenny Wilson said 'he ‘d always told me he would protect me to his death, and that's exactly what happened: he was shot dead while protecting me'. (sources: Hilda Fourie en Wolfram Zwecker) http://www.beeld.com/Suid-Afrika/Nuus/Hy-baklei-tot-die-dood-toe-20110401

DeVilliers Juan shot dead defending his wife MayberryPark Alberton Apr12011 The two black killers' loot were confined to only one cellphone, a wallet and three bottles of wine. The attack occurred just after two friends had visited the couple at their Mayberry Park, Alberton home. Their son Devan, 10, was away that night: he was at a sleepover at a friend's house. Ms Wilson went to bed at around 23:00 after their friends had left while Juan fell asleep on the couch.
He was attacked by two black men and trussed up hands-and-feet with shoelaces. As was discovered later, he also was shot once while already tied up in the kitchen. Then the men stormed into Ms Wilson's bedroom. "When I opened my eyes these two (black) men in the room. I realised I had to flee,' she said. "One man grabbed me but I kicked, bit them and screamed, and then ran down the hallway, shouting for Juan to help. I literally dove out of the backdoor and before I could do anything else, Juan was there.” As was figured out later, the injured man had managed to rip off the shoe-laces which were keeping him tied up and ran outside to protect his mate. "Three shots then were fired and it was quiet,' she said. The blacks fled with very little loot: just a cellphone, a wallet and bottles of wine.

After he was rushed to Union-hospital in Alberton for emergency surgery, it was found that he had sustained four gunshot wounds. Apparently he'd already been shot once while he was tied up in the kitchen while Ms Wilson was still asleep in the bedroom. His wounds were too severe: the life-support was turned off two hours later in the presence of Ms Wilson and his grieving mom, Mrs Alta Smith, 56. "My son protected his wife’s life,' the griefstricken mom said. "He fought so hard just to prevent them from shooting her. If they had only wounded him it could still be accepted, but why did they have to shoot him dead? It was so unneccessary: they got so little. The death-sentence must be brought back because people can't just continue to run around and murder as they please like this,' she added. http://www.beeld.com/Suid-Afrika/Nuus/Hy-baklei-tot-die-dood-toe-20110401

Mimmie Graham murdered, Winklespruit May 27 2008: two of 4 arrested black men judged guilty of strangling the deaf old woman to death…

Graham Mimmie deaf frail strangled to death 4 blmales May172008 AmanzimtotiMarch 18 2011 - An Amanzimtoti couple breathed a sigh of relief when Durban High Court judge Chiman Patel found two young black men guilty of murdering their frail, elderly mother Mimmie Graham at Shirley Road, Winklespruit on May 27 2008.

The other two young arrested murderers have died since then. (source: Earl Baillache, 18 March 2011). The elderly Mrs Graham was attacked and murdered in her granny flat by the four black men at  her daughter Yvonne and son-in-law Natie Zietsman’s Shirley Road, Winklespruit house on May 27, 2008. Now, almost three years later, Yvonne and Natie are grateful that the two remaining men of the original four were found guilty of murder and armed robbery. "It feels good to finally hear them found guilty," said Yvonne. "I didn’t think we would get a conviction on the murder charge."

Convicted murderers Thabiso Masemula (29) and Sandile Gumede (30) were sentenced to life for murder and 15 years for aggravated robbery. They had pleaded not guilty to the charges but the State submitted overwhelming evidence of their guilt. Their appeal application will be heard atthe Pietermaritzburg High Court – but the family cannot afford to attend it. “It will be very costly because we have already had to take unpaid leave to travel to Durban every day of the trial"

The old white woman was the only person at home on May 27 2008 when the four black men had called her out to the garden-gate to “ask for directions” from a silver Toyota Yaris. The evidence was that when the frail, deaf Minnie was in the garden and had briefly turned her back,  two black men had jumped over the fence and attacked the unarmed, defenceless white woman. Her hearing aid was dislodged and later found in the garden. She then was tied up with her hairdryer cord, her mouth gagged with a doily. The four burly, young males then strangled the frail old white woman to death. Natie found Minnie’s body when he returned home just after 4pm.  A police informant tipped off the police, leading them to Masemula’s house in KwaMashu, where the murderer was hiding in a cupboard. The Zietsmans identified a computer tower and TV found in his house as theirs.  Insp Naidoo of the then-murder and robbery squad in Cato Manor headed the case. http://www.looklocal.co.za/looklocal/content/en/amanzimtoti/amanzimtoti-news-general?oid=4184382&sn=Detail&pid=4197417&Relief-as-murder-pair-given-life

Michelle Storrier in hand-to-hand combat with 4 black men – fighting back fiercely to protect her son from hijackers: Amanzimtoti pre-primary school:

Storrier mom fought like lion to protect her young son hijacking primary school Amanzimtoti 4 Feb 2011  Amanzimtoti resident Mrs Michelle Storrier and her mom were bitten by a black attacker while engaged in hand-to-hand combat against 4 male hijackers while the women and 12-year-old Liam Storrier were picking up their young nephew at his pre-primary school in Linscott Road, Athlone Park at 12.15pm on Tuesday, February 1 2011. (source: Earl Baillache)  http://www.looklocal.co.za/looklocal/content/en/amanzimtoti/amanzimtoti-news-crime?oid=4327196&sn=Detail&pid=4197417&Car-thieves-strike-in-Illovo-Beach

The Amanzimtoti police warned that hijackings are rife and that the black gangs are specifically targetting women drivers. Mrs Storrier's mother Colleen Bowker and son Liam (12) were with her in her mother’s  blue VW Polo hatchback when she spotted 4 black males approaching her car in her rearview-mirror. She immediately switched on the vehicle’s ignition to try and close the electric windows, but a knifeman forced himself through her half-opened window. She wrested it away from him and hit him hard. "When I saw he had a knife and no gun, I said to myself these guys are not taking my mom’s car or my son," said Michelle.Liam was stuck in the backseat with the childlock on. In the scuffle, Michelle was bitten three times on the arm by the hijacker. A teacher at the school was alerted and  activated the panic button.

Black attacker bit the mom and the daughter:

Meanwhile the ‘biter’ yanked open passenger door and pulled Colleen out - biting the mother on the shoulder. "There was no reason for him to bite my mom. Why do that? It was deliberate."  Realising Michelle still had his knife, the man kicked her, but she fought back fiercely in defence of her son: trying to get  the man away from the rear door to free Liam. The biter then grabbed her bag while she battled to get him away from the car. The family drove off in the Polo - but were chased for some distance by a gold Toyota Yaris follow ing them. "A man who we'd seen loitering got into the Yaris (wich followed them). He must have been their spotter." The men were described by Michelle as  clean-shaven, skinny and young."All four were under 20 years old." The Polo was found shortly after abandoned at Isipingo taxi rank, with Michelle’s bag and its car keys still inside. Her money and her mother’s bag, containing all her bank cards, were missing. It's not known if the women had to undergo treatment to prevent AIDS-transfer from the bites. The local citizen-policing forum spokesman George Snodey warned that this hijacking was just one of a number of crimes in Toti that day.Vehicles were also targetted at 4am, there were housebreakings in Zulweni Gardens, Mtinde Place and Winifred Drive and an armed robbery of family in Dan Pienaar Drive."Although crime went down for a while, it seems to be on the increase. People must be aware of what’s going on around them. If you see suspicious-looking people on foot or in a vehicle, contact SAPS and CCPO as soon as possible." ‘Toti SAPS warns the public to be on the look-out : hijacking is on the increase and they target women. Women are urged “to be more vigilant, lock their doors, close their windows and remove the keys from the ignition when waiting outside schools”. http://www.looklocal.co.za/looklocal/content/en/amanzimtoti/amanzimtoti-news-crime?oid=4327196&sn=Detail&pid=4197417&Car-thieves-strike-in-Illovo-Beach

White pensioner attacked walking her dogs on Amanzimtoti beach

‘Beach users should be vigilant: do not carry a bag…’

28 January 2011    An afternoon walk with her dogs turned into a nightmare for an unnamed 63-year-old St Winifreds pensioner when two black men set upon her while she was walking her dogs on the beach between Baggies and Winklespruit at the weekend. The woman is too scared to be identified. However, in a strange turn of events, the men then attempted to find the distraught victim’s lost glasses and even apologised for the attack – because her bag only contained a bottle of water and some plastic bags…

White woman attacked on StWinifred KZN beach 26Jan2011

The woman (63) came under attack on Saturday, January 22 at about 4.30pm. "I was walking slowly because I have had a knee operation. I had my three sausage dogs with me and a backpack, which contained a bottle of water and plastic bags," said the woman. During her walk she noticed little silver fish on the sand. "When I bent down to pick up the fish to throw them back into the sea, I felt a violent tug on my backpack," she said. Earlier, the woman had seen two men near the railway bridge. However, they walked off in opposite directions. "I  had no reason to think they intended to harm me," she said.
However, she believes they were doing this to put her off guard  - because she believes the same men then attacked her. "They couldn’t get the backpack off my shoulders. They pulled so hard, they broke all the plastic straps." During the struggle she was knocked into the sea and  lost her glasses. "I screamed at them twice, when I realised my glasses were gone." The elderly woman then heard loud whistling and when she looked towards the dunes, barely able to see without her glasses, the men were pointing to where they were dumping her backpack. "They had gone through it and found nothing of value," she said. To the woman’s surprise, when she shouted to say she couldn’t find her glasses, they came down to help her find it. "They handed the backpack to me and said ‘I am sorry’. Unfortunately her glasses were swept away by the current. One black man was tall and skinny and the other  short and stocky and they were in their 20s. The robbers took off and the woman walked with another couple to her car in the parking lot at Baggies. While using her prescription sunglasses to drive home, she believes she may have seen the same two men standing with two others on Kingsway, near St Mary’s Anglican Church. When she was interviewed on Monday Jan 24, large, visible bruises discoloured both arms and she complained of a sore neck and joints. She warns other beach users to be vigilant, and not to carry a bag, as it may have been what attracted her assailants.   However, she says the incident will not stop her from walking her dogs, which she usually does two to three times a week.

Rudi Zwart: poor pensioner's old pizza-delivery VW-Chico1 stolen, Illovo Beach flat

Zwart Rudi 71 lowincome pensioner old pizzadelivery VW stolen31 March 2011 - Attackers smashed down the driveway gates of low-income pensioner Rudi Zwart's Illovo Beach cottage, stealing the car he needs to deliver pizzas with on March 29 2010. The 72-year-old pensioner lives in a granny flat, set away from the front entrance to the School Road property.(source: Jenny Bipat).

The white pensioner isn't wealthy: he has to deliver pizzas to supplement his income.  He is devastated at the theft of the uniquely-marked vehicle: the uninsured 2003 white VW Chico1.4 has stripes on its sides and a large sticker of an eagle on the bonnet. The bumpers and wheel arches are sprayed silver. After the theft, Zwart found one section of the electronic gate ripped off its hinges and lying in the garden. Rudi says the thieves probably smashed the gate with a vehicle." I don’t know what I will do now"… said a devastated Rudi. The value of the nine-year-old car is only R60,000. However its extras, the mag wheels are valued at R12,000, its sound-system another R18,000."My grandson put a  lot of effort in it and did all the extras for me," said Rudi. What puzzles Rudi is that he did everything to  safeguard his car. "It was behind locked gates. It was not visible from the road. It had a gearlock and immobiliser," he said.  He believes the thieves may have towed the Golf, as he had tweaked the immobiliser and only he knew how to disarm it. Rudi warns residents to be vigilant, as he knows of at least two other vehicles, also VWs, which were stolen in the same area last week.

Why hatespeech ShootTheBoer, OneBullet-One-Infant is so dangerous

The United Nations publishes educational material to teach States, Organisations and Individuals to detect and crack down on genocidal hatespeech in order to prevent genocide:
This is what genocidal hatespeech such as "ShootTheBoer' and "OneBullet-OneWhiteInfant" causes: after months of similarly-vicious inflammatory speech, Cote d'Ivoire is now exploding into a horrific massacre...

------------------

‘ Voices that Poison:’  800 people killed after months of vicious inflammatory speech:

April 3 2011 - “After months of vicious inflammatory speech, Cote d’Ivoire is exploding. Today there are battles in the main city of Abidjan, including around the Presidential Palace which Laurent Gbagbo has refused to vacate since, by virtually all accounts except his, he lost the elections last November 28 to Alassane Ouattara.  Instead of leaving power, Gbagbo and his allies have used inflammatory speech to frighten the population and incite his supporters.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bcq_hQv2zjI

They target pro-Ouattara Ivoirians, many of whom come from mainly Muslim northern Cote d’Ivoire, and against the foreign observers who know that Gbagbo lost. Gbagbo has repeatedly made the terrifying claim that the French government and the UN operation in Cote d’Ivoire (UNOCI) are preparing a genocide against Ivoirians. “We are going to defend the sovereignty of our country until the last drop of our sweat. I urge all Ivorians to make themselves ready for this combat. We are going to totally liberate our country,” said Charles Ble Goude, Gbagbo’s youth minister who is already under UN sanctions for leading violence five years ago. This January, after such messages were widely disseminated via the national network RTI, and in pro-Gbagbo newspapers, gangs of youths loyal to Gbagbo burned three UN vehicles and attacked an ambulance.  Ivoirians themselves have been more frequent and vulnerable targets, of course. In March, for example, Ivoirian troops machine-gunned a group of women marching peacefully in favor of Ouattara in Abidjan.

Now it is growing much worse. Today, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) reports that at least 800 people were killed on Tuesday in the Western Ivoirian town of Duekoue. Parts of Abidjan are war zones, as fighters loyal to Ouattara attempt to take the city and oust Gbagbo.  “Abidjan is on the brink of a human rights catastrophe and total chaos” says Salvatore Saguès, Amnesty International’s researcher on West Africa.
Gbagbo and his allies – including journalists – have used classic techniques of incitement, trying to persuade their audiences that they are in mortal danger from ostensible enemies. On January 19, Francis Deng and Edward Luck, UN Special Advisors for the Prevention of Genocide and the Responsibility to Protect, respectively, said they were “deeply troubled by reports of continuing hate speech that appears to be aimed at inciting violent attacks against particular ethnic and national groups” and on the same day, the UN Security Council demanded an “immediate halt to the use of media, especially [the pro-Gbagbo] Radiodiffusion Television Ivoirienne, to propagate false information and to incite hatred and violence, including against the U.N.” The following day, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon backed up the demand with a threat that Ivoirian inciters could face prosecution at the International Criminal Court.
Unfortunately RTI and other Ivoirian media continued to propagate inflammatory speech, stirring up more fear and anger with each week of the long crisis. Following the playbook for ruthless incitement, Gbagbo and his unelected government have also shut down Ivoirians’ access to other sources of information, banning foreign news broadcasts, arresting journalists and now threatening to block websites that comment objectively or critically on the situation in Cote d’Ivoire. Tragically, this disaster was no surprise. It was not even the first time for Cote d’Ivoire; from 2001-2004 the country suffered a previous convulsion of incitement and violence. Perhaps the next one can be averted if the UN carries out its threat to prosecute some of the people who have knowingly, systematically catalyzed disaster
