Friend Mark Harper, said late on Sunday night that "he is not doing well at all. The doctors only bring bad news but we hope and trust that God will perform a miracle".

Don’t like your boss? Just torch him…  Lt.col Malesela Ledwaba confirmed that a petrol-attendant threw petrol into a bottle, set it alight and threw it through the window of the office where Rossouw was seated. .Natasja Kotze was heading back to Meyerton from Pietersburg on Sunday morning when she stopped at the fuel station. "You never think you will experience something like that. It was awful to see." Ms Kotze aid they saw how the badly burnt Rossouw was treated by emergency rescue workers outside the office section of the fuel station. They also saw the petrol attendant in a police van. Kotze said some of the petrol attendants told them their colleague had threatened to throw petrol through Rossouw's office window earlier on Sunday morning. "They then stopped him and said they didn't see him pouring petrol in the bottle later."

Stopped breathing in the ambulance:

Trompie Jonker of the private Tromar ambulance service said the fire extinguisher that bystanders used to put out the flames on Rossouw's body, caused him to inhale some of the substance sprayed by the extinguisher. It also badly damaged his lungs. Rossouw stopped breathing while emergency workers from Tromar as well as the provincial ambulance workers treated him. "His hair, eyelashes and almost all his skin was burnt off. His lungs and windpipe were also damaged by the smoke he inhaled," said Jonker. Ledwaba said the attendant would appear in court this week on charges of attempted murder, arson and theft of petrol.

Rossouw and his wife, Edna, live in Warmbaths. They have two young children, Ruben, 4, and Emma, 2. His wife was with him in hospital on Sunday evening. March 6 2011 – GUGULETHU, Cape Town. Dreadlocked Belgian architecture-student Tom Janssens, right, was injured in an attack by three black men, armed with knives and a broken bottle near the tourist haunt Mzoli’s. He was with Matheus Staelins, a fellow-student of Kent University in Brussels who escaped unscathed. The two are in Cape Town to survey townships for their studies.  (pic Sunday Argus: Leon Lestrade,  source: Kowthar Solomons) http://www.iol.co.za/news/south-africa/western-cape/belgian-students-stabbed-with-broken-bottle-1.1036770

The two Belgians had been strolling around Gugulethu and taking pictures of local buildings. They also were robbed of their R20,000 camera. Four hours later, Gugulethu cops arrested one of the three black men who stabbed them, said police spokesman Elliot Sinyangana.  Janssens and Staelins had earlier visited Mzoli’s restaurant in Gugulethu with a group of friends. They went back on their own about lunchtime on Thursday, persuaded a man they met at Mzoli’s to be a guide, and went on a stroll to look at the architecture. Upon returning to their car parked opposite Mzolis three men armed with knives and a broken bottle-head were waiting for them, stabbed Janssens and threatened to kill them if they did not hand over their belongings. Afterwards, Janssens said he sustained a huge cut on his left arm and smaller cuts on his hand and right shoulder.” The students returned to their dormitory in Observatory and told the dorm owner what had happened. Janssens returned to Gugulethu police station at 9pm that night to report new information gleaned from a Gugulethu-based worker at his digs. Four hours later one man was arrested. Apparently they did not need medical treatment. Sunday Argus kowthar.solomons@inl.co.za

Dewani Anni and Shrien 13 Nov2010 Gugulethu murder turned into ANC propaganda campaign Gugulethu township near Cape Town  also was the scene of the horrific murder of UK honeymooner  Annie Dewani and the kidnapping/attack on her new husband Shrien on November 13 2010. They were visiting the township believing they were safe. The ANC-propaganda machine has  been hurning out its disinformation at full tilt ever since, demanding that the badly traumatised Shrien Dewani be extradited from the UK to ‘stand trial for his wife’s murder’. http://weblogs.nos.nl/afrika/2010/12/07/ongewone-moord-in-gugulethu/
