Brenner Heinz dies in March 2011 from Linden attackMarch 31 2011 -  A Linden family are reeling in shock after burying their husband and father who was left brain dead and surviving on life-support for three weeks after he was attacked on February 9 2011 at his Sixth Street home in Linden, north of Johannesburg.

The brutal murder of 71-year-old Heinz Brenner, comes soon after the kidnaping and death of 65-year-old Georgie Jacklin, whose body was found three weeks ago in Sasolburg.  (source: Karishma Thakurdin)
One of the daughters Ms Julie Brenner said her family was distraught by the brutal nature of her father’s death. They  hoped to see the perpetrator brought to book. Brenner said her father was attacked and left in a coma on Wednesday 9 February 2011 around 3pm after she and her mother had left the house to run errands. "When we returned about an hour later, the front door was locked from inside. Moments later an unknown man wearing white gloves which were drenched in blood, opened the door shouting ‘something is wrong in the house’," she said.

Ms Brenner said they were too shocked and confused to react .  The black suspect yanked both Brenner and her mom into the house, yelling, ‘something is wrong inside’. He demanded their valuables, before locking them in the bedroom cupboards. "When I heard silence, I escaped from the cupboard, let my mom out and began looking for my dad," she said.Brenner found her father in the garage lying in a pool of blood and gasping for air. "He was so badly beaten up, I barely recognised him," she said.An emotional Brenner described her dad as a positive, kind-hearted and hardworking person.Linden police constable Carol Mulamu confirmed that the suspects were  at large and a case of murder was being investigated.

---------------

A shot was fired through the door and hit Mr Savvides in the heart. His wife Emmerentia heard him say:  'they have me” before he died.  She said her husband was pushing the bedroom door closed to stop the black gunman from getting inside. The men merely grabbed a handbag and a cellphone before rushing away again. "What are a cellphone and a handbag worth? The most valuable thing they took was my husband's life,' she said.

The couple's home is located in Date-palm Avenue in Wonderboom, Pretoria - four blocks away from the home of 62-year-old Mrs Rienie van der Linde (details below) in Van der Schyffstreet : who was attacked in her driveway for a second time within four months by two black men who had shot her in the upper leg.  She blamed the large number of illegal squatters living in an adjacent empty site and the local councillor had promised ‘to have it cleaned up’.

Mrs Savvides said she woke up at 3:30am when 'an unknown man turned on my bedroom light'. She and her husband sleep in seperate bedrooms. She saw two black men: one with a heavy-duty spanner and another with a handgun. "I started screaming for my husband at once,' she said. In response one black man 'tapped her on an arm with the spanner and grabbed her handbag'.

"My husband opened his bedroom door, I saw the gunman move into the hallway and saw my husband close his door and that's when the man fired the shot. My husband was shot through the heart. I heard him say 'they got me'. I rushed to him, felt his forehead and then phoned the police - or tried to, because nobody answered the 10111 emergency number.' She then pushed an emergency alarm on her cellphone and the police arrived within minutes.

Local SAPS spokesman Lt-col Lungelo Dlamini said 'a murder investigation has been opened'.  He had no comment about the complaint that there was no reply at the 10111 number. Investigators found that the two men had broken in through the living room window.  http://www.beeld.com/Suid-Afrika/Nuus/Pta-man-deur-sy-toe-kamerdeur-doodgeskiet-20110330

Rienie vd Linde, 62, survives second armed attack – Annlin Pretoria

2011-03-24 For the second time within four months, Mrs Rienie van der Linde, 62, was attacked by an armed gang and was lucky to survive. She was shot in the upper left-leg and treated at hospital after she was attacked by one of the gunmen in the driveway of her Annlin, Pretoria home as she was leaving for work at 5:30am. Four months earlier she also was beaten black and blue by an armed gang in exactly the same spot, said husband Frik, 72.  (source: Hilda Fourie, Beeld). She managed to get away and rang her frontdoor bell – and just as her daughter Marlisa, 34, was busy making up her bed she heard the shot. When she ran to the backdoor a man also stood there with a gun – pointing it at the daughter’s face. The man walked inside, took a laptop computer – he walked straight to it as if he knew exactly where to find it – and jumped across the fence. The family’s erf is adjacent to an empty lot frequented by vagrants. SAPS Pinky Tshinyane, confirmed the ‘house robbery’. The local town councillor meanwhile has undertaken to have the empty lot next door cleaned up and the illegal occupants removed.  http://www.beeld.com/Suid-Afrika/Nuus/Vrou-weer-in-oprit-by-huis-aangeval-20110324

Johannes Senekal, 70, murdered: Roodepoort a.h.

Johannes Senekal murdered at Roodepoort smallholding: police refused to open murder-docket:  http://www.farmitracker.com/reports/view/1127

The suspected killer, with a scratched face, stood at the murder-scene next to two investigating police officers, but they never questioned him…’

2011-03-30 - Police investigating the murder-scene of 70-year-old smallholder Johannes Senekal  in Roodepoort on 21 March, refused to open a murder-docket: claiming there had been 'no crime'. Yet the murder suspect -- the now duly arrested casual worker Jabulani Khambuli, 23, of Diepsloot -- stood right next to the investigating police team with a scratched face – and they never asked the worker any questions.

Mr Senekal was murdered in the double-story smallholding home of his niece, Magdel Daniel and her husband Kobus on March 21 2011. The Daniel couple were in Warmbaths ('Bela-Bela') at the time: another worker phoned them and warned that 'Uncle Boetie wasn't breathing any longer'. The Daniel couple phoned the police, paramedics and neighbours. They told Beeld newspaper that the worker who alerted them had become suspicious because the lights weren't on, and Mr Senekal was lying half underneath his bed with cuts to his chin - and electronic equipment was strewn all around him. Missing were his two cellphones, his wallet and a camera.

Mr Daniel was phoned back by the police upon the arrival of the two investigating officers, a sergeant and a captain: who informed them that there 'had been no crime' and “that they would not be opening a murder-investigation docket."
The police sergeant allegedly said in this telephone conversation that “there were 'no signs of any struggle or forced entry-signs at the house; that they refused to open a murder-investigation docket; and that they would not let  the coroner remove the body.'

The Daniel-couple immediately rushed back to Roodepoort - and discovered that casual worker Khambuli had been 'painting' at the house when it was a holiday, yet that he had most definitely not been asked to work that day. The couple contacted the private detective-agency of ex-SAPS detectives Bushie Engelbrecht and Piet Byleveld, who launched an independent investigation.

Questioning of witnesses revealed that the suspected murderer had been standing at the murder-scene with scratch-marks on his face, and yet the police never questioned him.

Khambuli was arrested the following Thursday-afternoon and made a full confession in front of a Roodepoort magistrate, who postponed the murder-case to 5 April for a bail-application. Meanwhile Beeld was given the undertaking by the police's provincial PRO Lt.kol. Lungelo Dlamini that 'an internal investigation will be launched into the handling of the case by the two police members at the scene'. A memorial service wase held for the murdered man in the NG church Muldersdrift on March 30 2011. http://www.beeld.com/Suid-Afrika/Nuus/Verdagte-by-toe-polisie-se-Gn-onraad-20110330

Boer balladeer Steve Hofmeyr: more death threats

AfrikanerBoer human-rights activist Steve Hofmeyr gets frequent death threats -  http://bit.ly/eT1cP4

------------------

Today, one year ago: Pretoria, South Africa. source: The Afrikaner Journal. Today a year ago, within minutes after the e-tv programThirdDegree, the facebook page for the popular SA television show was abuzz with comments about the interview.

Debora Patta, the feisty reporter of the very popular news program, had planned to interview several well known persons ‘who'd made racist comments in the recent past’.   An ANC youth league representative, Black Management Forum director Manyi  and Steve Hofmeyr were amongst persons invited. Only Hofmeyr showed up. He emphasized the black-on-white nature of crime in South Africa (there are 3-million whites and 49-million blacks in SA). He pointing out that a disproportionate number of whites were being murdered in South Africa today.  A very heated debate ensued between him and miss Patta, when she tried to imply that Hofmeyr's comments were ‘ludicrous and racist’.  Patta is renowned for her biased opinion towards Afrikaners.  Hofmeyr had to steer the commentary (time and again) back to the issue at hand and was constantly interrupted by an highly-agitated Patta. He pointed to the fact that this (disproportional-attacks against whites) anomaly is in fact, also a sign of genocide. Moments after the show, the facebook page for Third-Degree was swamped with comments - many threatening the life of the very popular activist, actor singer/songwriter. http://www.facebook.com/pages/3rd-Degree/101541629915235

Hofmeyr, a handsome, virile blonde man in the prime of his life, has a stunning stage-presence and a rather rambunctious personal life which the Afrikaans media loves to describe in the most minute details. He also is one of Afrikanerdom’s most vocal human-rights campaigners on behalf of his own people. One can probably measure this artist’s popularity best by the huge number of death-threats he gets from black-racists – and the similarly popular support he gets from more democratic members of the black community, such as  radio DJ Tim Thabete of OFM radio. One fact is also clear: one is never bored around Steve Hofmeyr.

Steve’s recent political-campaign activities to fight for the human rights of his own people, include:

Steve Hofmeyr and Tim Thabete in triumphant ‘Stop Boer Murders’ hike… 19 Feb 2011 Hugely popular Boer balladeer Steve Hofmeyr and radio DJ Tim Thabete from Ofm-radio went on an impromptu hitchhike from Bloemfontein to Cape Town on the N1 highway on Friday to raise money to help combat farm-murders. ...

More death threats for Steve Hofmeyr  12 Dec 2010 The gifted Afrikaans musician Steve Hofmeyr has created the highest level of anger amongst black SAns this week with his intensely angry outburst over the brutal execution-style murder of Boer child Wilmien Potgieter, 2, slaughtered together with her parents on a Lindley, Free State farm….

Attacks on SA whites 19 Mar 2011  Many calls appear each day to murder Afrikaans singer SteveHofmeyr on Facebook pages. For instance on Dec 7 2010 Andile Buyambo wrote:  "they killed us for our land, they killed our livestock'… .http://censorbugbear-reports.blogspot.com/2011/03/attacks-on-sa-whites-page-3.html

Does SAPS maintain farm murder stats – or not?

Police Minister Mthethwa contradicts himself about Farm Attack statistics:  does the SAPS maintain farm-murder statistics – or not?

Floyd Shivambo, ANCYL mouthpiece, allegedly called journo Carien du Plessis a 'white bitch': gets sued for R200,000 damages, is denied a secret trial…http://www.news24.com/SouthAfrica/Politics/Equality-case-Shivambu-gets-more-time-20110329

ANTIWHITE HATESPEECH Shivambu Floyd ANCYL called journo CarienduPlessis WHITE BITCH  Equality court case postponed to April 13 2011 for response deadline:

2011-03-29 Johannesburg - A hate speech case against the ANCYL mouthpiece was postponed to April 13 2011  by the Equality Court in Johannesburg. The judge also refused a request by the defendant to have the case heard behind closed doors -  without journalists present.

Journalist Carien du Plessis, of Independent Newspapers, is suing Shivambo for R100,000 after he allegedly calling her "stupid" and a "white bitch", according to court papers. The matter was postponed at the request of Shivambo's legal team. Du Plessis' legal team opposed the application for a postponement. Shivambo's attorney Andries Nkome claimed he “had not received all the pages of the documents”-- although he was served with all the papers on February 8. His legal team has not replied to the allegations. Granting the postponement, magistrate Oriel Vele said “it was not clear what steps had been taken to obtain the missing pages”. He said Shivambu's attorneys had not been "prudent" in dealing with the matter, but that their "sins" should not be visited on their client. "It will be in the interests of justice to allow him [Shivambu] a voice on the matter," Vele said. The court expressed "utter disappointment" in the conduct of "the respondent and, or his attorney". "People should learn to treat court proceedings with the respect they deserve," Vele said.

No secret trial behind closed doors:

He meanwhile awarded punitive costs to Du Plessis for Tuesday's court appearance. Shivambo, who was present in court, was ordered to file a response to the allegations by April 13. Nkome earlier was refused the request that  Vele hold the court hearings in camera. He told the court "parties" had "called" journalists "sympathetic to their cause" and submitted that reporting of the matter would be "sympathetic" to those parties. The magistrate replied: "I don't see how one can bar journalists from these proceedings." The reasons put forward were not good enough to bar anyone from the court proceedings, Vele said.He said there was a code of conduct journalists were held to, which compelled them to report objectively. "I would not be happy to see things in the paper which did not transpire in these proceedings," he said.

The complaint dates back to May 18 2010. Du Plessis alleged that in an SMS exchange between herself and Shivambu, he wrote: "You must learn to respect people. I don't comment on YCL [Young Communist League] issues and please stop being stupid." He also wrote: "I wouldn't want to earn respect from white bitches... so dream on."

According to the court papers, his reference to Du Plessis as "stupid" and as a "white bitch" constituted "prohibited hate speech within the meaning of section 10 of the Promotion of Equality and Prevention of Unfair Discrimination Act 4 of 2000". The words were "construed to demonstrate clear intent" to be "hurtful", "harmful" or "incite harm" and to "promote or propagate hatred". "The plaintiff was humiliated and degraded by the aforesaid words and suffered damages as a result thereof in the sum of R100 000 in respect of impairment of her personality and right to human dignity". Du Plessis wants an order declaring that the labels allegedly applied to her by Shivambu constituted hate speech, an order requiring him to issue an unconditional written apology, payment of R100 000 damages and the costs of the suit. http://www.news24.com/SouthAfrica/Politics/Equality-case-Shivambu-gets-more-time-20110329

CALENBORNE MEGAN 71 attacked hisecurity Alberton home Why are the victims of violent crimes always blamed  for being attacked?  Mrs Megan Calenborne --  who lives alone and pays a fortune for the high-security \in her Fourways Gardens Estate flat – , said a day before she was attacked and robbed by two armed black males, they had spotted by her house, ‘asking for a dog’.  (source: Natashia Bearam). On the day of the attack the two black males were dressed in yellow reflective jackets, like those worn by security guards’. They let the old lady’s guard down with their disguise. “Against my better judgement I slightly opened the door. They immediately forced their way into my house,” she said. They forced the terrified old lady  upstairs, tied her up, locked her in the bathroom and ransacked her safe of jewellery valued at R100,000+.Warrant officer Balan Muthan, spokesman for Douglasdale police station, said however  they “had not had an increase in robberies in the area’ and so he blamed it all on the elderly white victim by saying: “It is important that residents are wary when entering or leaving their complexes. They must make sure that no one enters the gate behind them..”  Why do South Africans still even pay their taxes for this kind of sloppy ‘blame-the-victim’ policing – where the taxpayers have to shell out thousands of Rands in extra security costs because the State is too fraudulent to provide an efficient police-force.. http://www.looklocal.co.za/looklocal/content/en/fourways/fourways-news-crime?oid=4292227&sn=Detail&pid=217610&Keep-your-guard-up-in-estates

Andrew de Klerk, brutally murdered Feb 8 2010, Riemvasmaak, Eden Mews Flats, Alberton: two males twice confessed in court to the murder – but they are still walking around free in the  same neighbourhood…

De Klerk Andrew murdered Feb82010 Two confessed murderers released by court Andrew de Klerk was brutally murdered on February 8 2010 in Riemvasmaak near the Eden Mews flats. The two suspects, purportedly his "best friends", were arrested and confessed to the murder in the Alberton Magistrate court on several occasions since last year  --  but are walking around the neighbourhood like free men.
"My brother's two killers are boastfully roaming the streets since their court appearance last Monday February 28 2011. The court let them free “while waiting for DNA test results”. This move really upset the family," said Andrew’s brother Theo de Klerk."In most cases, especially murder cases, the suspects are kept in jail. Why are these two set free and not kept waiting in jail for the DNA results like all other murder suspects? We feel betrayed by the justice system," said Theo. The RECORD spoke to the investigating officer, Inspector Seroko, about the family's concern. "I understand the sadness within the family. They should understand that the suspects have not been acquitted. They will appear in court once the DNA results are available. Their freedom is only temporary," said Inspector Seroko

Granny Debbie Hodges: chased home by mad man for smoking…

hodges Debbie gran chased home by madman for smoking Alberton Debbie Hodges did not expect to be chased home and have it spraypainted by a madman on Friday March 11 after she’d thrown a cigarette butt from her car window. This was when an man, apparently besides himself, appeared beside her and repeatedly tried to run her off the road. And 12 days later, her home was spraypainted with the slogan ‘smoker’…  (Source: Alberton news, 23 March 2011, Simóne Erasmus).

Debbie was driving home on Kliprivier Road, in Brackendowns, between 13:30 and 14:30, when she finished her cigarette and threw the butt the window. Suddenly a man driving a white bakkie, with a business logo on the side, appeared beside her and was ‘hitting’ his head with his cellphone, looking angry as he was trying to say something to her. "I just ignored him and looked straight ahead, because I could see that he was angry about something," says Debbie, "but I was in the left hand lane. He then sped up and tried to drive me off the road more than once. I was so scared that I turned into Vaal Road and didn’t even think of going to the police station. I drove straight home." The man then turned into Vaal too and followed her all the way home to De Waal Street. She quickly pulled into her driveway and the man pulled into her driveway too, blocking her car so she wouldn’t be able to reverse. He jumped out of his car and started yelling at her, asking her why she threw her cigarette butt out of her window. "He swore at me hysterically and then started taking photos of my house, telling me that he was going to put them on the internet and anywhere else that he can, so that people will know what I did," she explains. She was home alone at the time and was in such shock that she just pulled her car into the garage and closed the door.

The morning of Wednesday, March 23, Debbie was leaving for work when she saw that her wall had been spray painted with the word "smoker". "I cannot believe that he acted the way he did and actually chased me home like that. I was so scared! I have informed Fox Security, who have upped my security, especially at night. I don’t know what this man was thinking? People need to be careful and aware of things like this taking place," she says. http://www.looklocal.co.za/looklocal/content/en/alberton/alberton-news-general?oid=4306791&sn=Detail&pid=1171113&Mad-man-chases-granny-home

Nic Meyer murder, Sinoville: killers jailed 22 yrs

Afrikaner electrical contractor Nic van Zyl Meyer 's two black killers were sentenced to 22 years in prison by Pretoria High Court

March 29 2011 - Meyer_Nic van Zyl_MURDERED 6DEC2005 SINOVILLE SMALLHOLDINGThe two black murderers of Pretoria electrical contractor Nic van Zyl Meyer, 52, – who was strangled and dumped half-naked at a rural site outside Sinoville on 6 Dec 2005 --  were ordered to spend 22 years in prison for killing the much-liked Afrikaner businessman, judge Vivian Thlapi ruled in the Pretoria High Court. (source:Jeanne-Marié Versluis, Beeld, who attended the trial).  http://www.beeld.com/Suid-Afrika/Nuus/Lyk-in-die-veld-Twee-kry-22-j-20110328

The independent businessman of Bon Accord, Pretoria was attacked on 6 December 2005: testimony was uncontested that the two murderers had tied him up before strangling him – and then dumped him half-naked in Sinoville, said Judge Thlapi in her summary. Sentenced for killing the Afrikaner family-man were Dumisane Shabangu (37 and Thulani Ndlovu (33). “The killers never apologised to the family”, the judge pointed ou when passing sentencet. The family said afterwards that they will always refuse to accept the defence’s  claim – as submitted in court -- that Mr Meyer was attacked in the room of a prostitute, that he was ambushed and killed there. The defence argued that Meyer himself ‘had thus put himself in harms’ way’ – i.e. that he basically was responsible for his own death because of his own alleged presence in the room of a woman of ill-repute. However the judge rejected this defence argument, saying that it was not the Court’s role to judge someone’s personal life. “It is against the law to take someone’s life,’ said judge Thlapi.Meyer NicvZ _murdered man family Pta HiCourt_March282011BEELD

The Meyer family will never believe the defence claim. Instead, they believe – as quoted by Ms Versluis --  that Mr Meyer was hijacked shortly after leaving the smallholding of a business-friend who was having a barbeque, and which one of the Meyer sons had also attended. The family believe that the electrical contractor was  hijacked in his bakkie after leaving; that he was tied up, strangled, loaded into his Hilux-bakkie and dumped at the rural site. The family believe that the defence story about the prostitute was a fabrication. One of his sons testified that he had seen his father leave the barbeque not long before    – and that many questions about his last moments remain unanswered: for instance his vehicle, which could have yielded forensic evidence, remains missing.  Further testimony was that shortly before Mr Meyer had left the barbeque, he had also telephoned his wife Riana, telling her he’d be home very soon. Judge Tlhapi said in her judgment-summary that 'Meyer had been a respected businessman. Shops were closed and a guard of honour was formed at his funeral. He also had a special relationship with his workers, was a loving husband and looked well after his family. After his murder his business had to be sold. Farmer Roy McGregor survives Sir Lowry’s Pass attack

Farmer Roy McGregor survives attack, Knorhoek, Sir Lowry's Pass village
March 22 2011 – As only became known eight days later, Cape farmer Roy McGregor was brutally beaten and left for dead at Knorhoek farm above Sir Lowry's Pass village near the N2 pass - a region which is being plagued by arsonists and attackers hiding in the mountains. Residents of estates on the Hottentots Holland mountains above Sir Lowry’s Pass Village reported a spate of arson attacks in the past fortnight. they are dismayed that culprit(s) are still on the lose. http://www.somersetwestcpf.org.za/node/502

McGregor Roy farmer left for dead Knorhoek SirLowryPass WC working on dam

McGregor lives at Firlands, outside Gordon’s Bay, but owns a farm at Knorhoek, on the slopes above the town. Eight days ago on March 14 2011, he was attacked on his farm while working with a bulldozer at the farm dam. He is recovering from his injuries. He says that he and other farmers and residents believe a dangerous criminal is to blame for the current spate of attacks and fires. (Crime statistics for Somerset West 2003_ 2009: http://www.somersetwestcpf.org.za/node/422#comment-102)

Fires started 'as a diversion to lure farmers from their homes'…
Another farmer, who asked not to be named, reported three separate fires over the past fortnight. He believed these were started 'as a diversion to lure farmers away from their homes so their homes could be broken into and robbed.' Residents say the police’s initial response included the deployment of the “K9” sniffer dog unit, an expert police tracker, a helicopter and special forces – notably the police’s elite Special Task Force. Yet nobody has been arrested.  McGregor said he was "begging police to renew their efforts before more victims were attacked."

No physical description of attacker provided:

“At about 5.50pm on Monday evening, I had been at Knorhoek Portion 10, waiting for my bulldozer to warm up. “I saw this guy walking towards me very casually, as if he was coming to ask me a question. I asked him what he was doing there, and he attacked me,” McGregor said. He does not remember the attack, but at some point lost consciousness. When he woke, he was covered with blood. (He did not provide an exact physical description of 'this guy', alas). “I had been left for dead. I ran and hid in a bush, then ran and hid, every 100m.” He was eventually found by a friend, who had been due to meet him, and was taken to Vergelegen Medi-Clinic in Somerset West. He remained there for two days, being treated for lacerations to his face and ears and damage to his skull and sinuses. His Toyota 4x4 had also been found: bearing signs of a bizarre attack in which attempts were made the open his petrol cap; the windows were smashed and seats inside the vehicle were torched. “The police have to do something. This community is living in fear,” McGregor said.  Another farmer, in charge of security for the Knorhoek area, confirmed several attacks and fires – and the police’s unsuccessful investigations thus far. Somerset West police referred all queries to the provincial police authorities, who said today they were “gathering information” and promised to respond to the Cape Argus’s queries. They had not done so by the time of going to press. http://www.somersetwestcpf.org.za/node/502

Corne Maree, security guard, executed: Alkmaar farm

Maree, Corne, 42, guard, forced to his knees, executed, Alkmaar farm, Nelspruit

Afrikaner security official Corné Mareé (42) was murdered on March 24 2011 with his own service-pistol at a farm near his home- forced to his knees in front of his killers, said his boss Werner Terblanché of J&M Security in Nelspruit. (source: Beeld).

A farmer came across Mr  Mareé's body in thick woods about 15 metres from the road, with gunshot wounds to his face, chest and stomach. It appears as if he also was stabbed with a knife.  Mareé had only been promoted to manager at J&M three days earlier and was murdered in a rural area  2km from his home in Alkmaar.  It was his last shift as security-officer before taking up his new post.

He had apparently stopped to inspect a suspicious vehicle, a silver bakkie, parked along the Alkmaar road. "He did what any good security-officer would do and stopped to find out what they were doing there,' said Terblanché. He apparently was first stabbed in the head during a struggle. He then was dragged into the bushes where was shot dead. There was a bloodied trail and drag-marks from his vehicle to his body."When one examines the angle from which he was shot it appears that he stood on his knees when he was shot dead,' said Terblanché.

A nearby farm-worker heard three shots and rushed to tell his employer: and the farmer came across  Mareé 's abandoned bakkie alongside the road - and noticed a blood-covered cellphone next to it. Following the trail he found the Afrikaner guard's body, whose service pistol is missing - but the J&M-bakkie 's keys were found in the bush discarded about  25m  from the body. Mareé leaves his wife Riana, two sons Mischa (15) and Justin (1), and daughter Marli (5). Col. Gerrie Agenbach, detective-branch superintendent, asked people with any knowledge of the incident to contact him at tel 00137591108. http://www.beeld.com/Suid-Afrika/Nuus/Wag-staan-dalk-op-kniee-voor-skurke-wat-hom-doodskiet-20110324

Policing the police – get on board

Citizens and the Good Cops join forces against the criminal, abusive cops…

Andre Snyman of eblockwatch.co.za writes:  “This video below shows the kind of criminal behaviour by the SA Police which make the Good Police who network with www.Eblockwatch .co.za very angry. Take a look at this video -- then take action. Get all your friends who want to team up with eblockwatch - take on the Dirty Cops by registering to eblockwatch.co.za

Get the Power back to the The People!

Last weekend eblockwatch.co.za managed to get a group of ladies out of jail before they had to spend the long weekend locked up -- because the police were ‘dragging their feet to lay charges’:

video above: two seperate groups of South African Police officers in two police cars were involved in the above scene: one group beat up and then LOOTED the man’s belongings (watch closely to what happens to his blue bag on the right). The other group of cops meanwhile, walked right past the scene and were posted only a few metres away – but failed to intervene in the brutal beating of this man. Civilians even strolled up to get a closer look – and only one of  all these people – namely the person shooting the video -  apparently saw anything wrong with the brutal way this unarmed man was set upon by so many armed police officers… Amazingly, he staggered to his feet, clearly hurt, after the beating and one can surmise from his body-language that he cursed the cops. These are the kind of police officers who now are supposed to protect the South African public…

----------

Andre Snyman, the host at eblockwatch.co.za, writes: “Three weeks ago I received a phone call from a police officer who called to apologise for the bad behaviour of a specific police officer in his division. I could not believe what I was hearing and I immediately asked if I could meet up with him so that I could hear more about the incident and why he really called. Within a few hours I was having coffee with him and a few of his colleagues. They were very despondent because of the corruption in the force and they felt that they were losing the respect and support of the public.

Good cops versus Bad Cops:

At eblockwatch we always take the negative and turn it into a positive. So we are putting together a police reaction team of Good Cops that eblockwatch can mobilise to take down bad cops. And - just like in the movies we need the public’s assistance. We want you and as many of your friends to register on eblockwatch as crime spotters. Then we would like you to leave a R10 note in your car. See your members home page for volunteer type. Write the number of the R10 and leave the piece of paper in your car. Important. This is only for registered www.eblockwatch.co.za members. It does not work if your cellphone is not connected to our system.

In response to a rising number of reported incidents about police abusing their power Eblockwatch had already launched the Police the Police campaign. FREE to all registered eblockwatch members - please ensure that your 4-Support member details are correct in the system (especially their email addresses!). Please note that normal cell phone rates apply for the call.

All members please save 0822360003 to your contacts. If you are pulled over by the police dial this number, the conversation between you and the police is recorded and saved on our server. We ask that you try to provide as much detail as possible during the conversation: Describe the police car (make, model, colour, the number painted on the side of the car along with the registration number) Ask the police person for their name and badge number Mention the number of police officers. Make it clear to the officer that you have just made a call to your friend to tell them where you are. Describe your location and surroundings. Try to let the phone remain in a position where the conversation can be recorded. When you hang up, a link to the voice recording is sent in an email to your four support members. An additional benefit for our members with the panic button service is that we immediately send an sms notification to them to check their email for your voice recording.

A note about the length of the call: as many people have been testing the service by simply dialling in and then hanging up we have set the system to only send out the email with the link to the recording if the call was longer than 5 seconds. This is to cut down on false alarm situations. The purpose of this service is to have evidence of the bogus cop or cop abusing their power To have your 4 support members get the details of your situation via the recording The mere fact that the police officer is aware of being recorded will encourage the correct behaviour. http://www.eblockwatch.co.za

White policewoman charged with ‘disrespect’ -- but she was the one who was assaulted by her black boss…
2011-03-23. An indication of how badly-fractured the internal relations are between white and black police officers in the SAPS, a white police-constable was facing an internal hearing yesterday, accused of being ‘disrespectful of a senior officer by throwing her hands up in the air’. The female white police-constable identified only as M. Crewe, stood trial in an internal police-discliplinary hearing yesterday when an unexpected, independent witness showed up – who testified that it was the young white constable who had been assaulted and verbally abused on May 28 2010 by the black senior officer who had accused her.

Constable Crewe’s job was saved when Jan Sewata Sephlapela, a citizen who was pulled over by Crewe an a colleague in a traffic check on May 28 last year, submitted testimony at the young white constable’s internal hearing – describing how the young woman was beaten up and verbally abused by Gen-maj F N Vuma, the chief of operational- and general support at the SAPS headquarter’s crime-intelligence unit… (source: Hilda Fourie, Beeld). Constable Crewe was forced to appear in the discliplinary hearing, charged by Vuma with ‘behaving disrespectfully towards a senior officer for throwing her hands up in the air’. However the charge against her was immediately withdrawn, said her legal counsel Jack Gerber, after Sephlapela, submitted his description of what had really happened to constable Crewe. His statement was that constable Crewe was beaten over her neck and back by her supervisor Genl-Maj F N Vuma in an incident he witnessed when he had been pulled over in traffic by constable Crewe on May 28.

His testimony: “Gen-maj. Vuma screamed and yelled at constable Crewe, and assaulted her across her back and neck. That’s when constable Crewe threw up her hands in the air (in exasperation).” Vuma had shown up at the scene  - being managed by Constable Crew and another colleague -- on 28 May 2010 because Sephlapela ‘had seemed suspect’, according to Vuma’s testimony. To protect herself and her colleague as routine required, Crewe had by then already ordered Mr Sephlapela to lie flat on the ground. However Vuma stormed in with another colleague and intervened by ordering the ‘suspect man’ to stand back up again. Vuma apparently ‘already had it in for Crewe’ as the senior police officer and the young constable had already had a run-in a day before, said her legal counsel. Sephlapela ‘s testimony was that it was at this point, that Vuma had screamed and yelled at the young constable, and beat her over her back and continued to verbally abuse her in loud, foul language. After yesterday’s unexpected testimony, the internal-charges against constable Crewe were immediately dropped – and the white constable now s considering lodging civil charges against Vuma, said her legal counsel. http://www.beeld.com/Suid-Afrika/Nuus/Klag-laat-vaar-nadat-verdagte-man-praat-20110323

Case against ‘dead-drunk’ cop dropped: blood samples 'disappeared"
March 24 2011 –
www.Eblockwatch.co.za writes: The case of a dead-drunk SAPS-officer from Eldorado Park, caught driving and so drunk that he fell from his car in May 2010 -- and his abusive rantings recorded by cellphone - has been dropped by the Johannesburg magistrate’s court after his blood samples 'disappeared'.

The man now is also threatening to sue the Johannesburg Metro-police Department for 'wrongful arrest and assault'. Yet as Eblockwatch.com's recordings showed, the man was clearly so drunk he cannot even remember giving blood samples. Writes
Alex Eliseev of The Star newspaper
: "First you hear the wind blowing into the cellphone, then complainant Justi Sasser's voice breaks in. "The time now is 20.51. I've got a policeman here that's totally intoxicated... under the influence of alcohol... that he can't even drive his own vehicle. I've contacted metro police..."  Sasser then explains that this allegedly drunk police officer was on his property.  About five minutes later, Sasser is recording again, calmly giving the registration number of the policeman's vehicle. He pauses, and a few seconds later, the policeman's voice booms. out: ""It's over. Its f***ing over." Silence. "I ... I know ... I'm 20 years in this business man." Silence. "F*** you bitch... F*** you bitch... It's over... Twenty years... F*** you..."  And on it goes, with the officer switching to Afrikaans and telling those around him that he works for a trio task team. He tells someone at the scene to "just be a man about it", but his sentences make little sense. Sasser gives the time again, and the registration number, and signs out with "we are taking this further".

For 32-year-old Sasser, a drive to fetch some dvd’s for a quiet night at home led to the dramatic arrest of this officer, who was due to appear in court to face a drunk-driving charge. Sasser tells the story: recalling that he’d  pulled out of his driveway when he noticed a white VW Polo Classic creeping along the road with its hazard lights on. It was shortly before 9pm on Saturday outside Sasser's home in Eagle's Nest, south of Joburg. The Polo - a state vehicle - allegedly nearly bumped Sasser's car. Sasser drove up to the car and pulled it over. According to him, the man inside at first refused to open the door, but when he did, he fell straight to the ground. Sasser called his security company and then the Johannesburg metro police department. The policeman was handcuffed and taken to an alcohol testing centre. Sasser endured verbal abuse but remained unmoved, discovering that the officer - who is from Eldorado Park - was apparently on standby to be called out to crime scenes. "I don't care if he had 30 years' service or if he was the president," Sasser said. "He was on call." The officer's blood was drawn and he was taken to Mondeor police station and locked up. Sasser described how the policeman threatened him and at times failed to comprehend that he had been handcuffed and was on his way to jail. Provincial police spokeswoman Captain Katlego Mogale confirmed the arrest and that the officer worked at the Johannesburg trio task team. Sasser was able to record two clips - the first lasting 55 seconds and the second two minutes and 17 seconds - by using a Eblockwatch initiative called Police the Police. By calling a certain number, eblockwatch members can record their interactions with officers and have the audio clip immediately uploaded to the internet. Even if the phone is switched off or smashed, the recording uploads as soon as it is interrupted. Eblockwatch gave The Star this story and helped with audio clips. The Star is in possession of the officer's name but has withheld it until he appearedin court. This incident is similar to the car crash in which the foul-mouthed Judge Nkola Motata drove his Jaguar through a residential wall. What followed was also recorded on a cellphone and was used to convict the judge. http://www.eblockwatch.co.za

Crime pays: generates millions in revenue for SA regime: - source: Carina Rudman.

Example 1: One-million homeowners pay for ‘Armed Crime Reaction” after crimes take place – generating R403-m in tax-revenue Take just one million home owners in Gauteng who pay for "armed crime reaction" (not crime prevention) where private security companies react AFTER the crime has taken place - no wonder they never make any arrests! This service costs on average R250 p.m. Therefore 1,000,000 x R240.00 x 12 months x 14% VAT, generates R403 million in tax revenue for the SA Govt.
Example 2: VAT earns about R70,000 per stolen car for the government: A car thief steals a R500,000 car and receives between R10,000 and R30,000 for his deed. The car owner is paid out by insurance and then purchases another similar vehicle, on which he pays 14% VAT of approx R70,000 as a direct result of crime. Who profited the most? The thief or the SA Govt?

Example 3: Government earns a forture in estate duty from murdered farmers’ estates: You must begin with a mechanism whereby the SA Govt is forced to reconsider this unconstitutional and immoral practice of profiting from crime. All South Africans should demand that all payments related to protection of life and property should be VAT free and Tax deductible. This principle should also apply to replacement of stolen property as well as estate duty. If a person dies as a result of crime you should also demand that estate duty not be paid. How much do you think the SA Govt. has made out of estate duty from the murders of just 1,300 South African farmers?

Why should the victims of violence pay for their own medical costs? The S.A. Govt likes to compare you to overseas. Well overseas your safety and security is covered by your income tax and is tax deductible! It is time that South Africans stood together and made the Govt. and public aware of the Govt's "income" from crime. In the meantime crime is the goose that lays the golden egg. Is it also not unreasonable to expect victims of violence and hijackings to pay their own medical costs? The Govt. should pay for these expenses as well as family counselling for victims! MP David Maynier chased from SA parliament – accused ANC MP of ‘having blood on his hands’ over R80-m arms sales to Libya:

2011-03-24 Kaapstad – Democratic Alliance MP David Maynier was bodily chased from parliament when he demanded to know from ANC-MP Jeff Radebe – who chairs the conventional-weapons control committee (NCACC) ‘how it feels to have blood on your hands’. When Maynier demanded that Radebe confirm the sale of more than 100 sniper-rifles and abou 50,000 rounds of ammo to Libya last year, Maynier was chased out – taken out by the police from parliament. The incident occurred after the news that col Muammar Gaddafi of Libya’s forces were using snipers in Misrata to shoot dead rebels. “Did Radebe approve the sale of those sniper-rifles to Libya? If so, how does it feel for the honourable minister to have blood on his hands?” asked Maynier. ANC-speaker Max Sisulu demanded that Maynier withdraw the comment – and when the white MP refused, Sisulu ordered him removed bodily from the chamber by its policing-force. While refusing to discuss the sniper-rifles, Radebe confirmed that his committee had approved more than 75 permits for the sales of more than 9,000 ‘arms goods’ to Libya to the value of R80,86-million – including armoured personnel carriers and C130 transport planes... Maynier said that the sales of the weapons to the Libyan regime ‘make it look as if the South African government is supporting Ghaddafi. Only after the violence broke out, did the SA government decide to place an arms embargo.’http://www.nuus24.com/Suid-Afrika/Nuus/Chaos-in-parlement-oor-wapens-aan-Libie-20110324

Crime reports March 24 2011

summary: two valiant Afrikaans women fight back  - survive attacks by black males in their homes; a white police-constable was beaten up by her black senior officer and then was charged with ‘behaving without respect’… MP David Maynier chased from parliament after asking ANC-minister ‘how it feels to have blood on his hands’ after arms sales to Libya - and why the South African government simply loves crime – because it pays the treasury so well.

Rienie vd Linde, 62, survives second armed attack – Annlin Pretoria 2011-03-24 For the second time within four months, Hilda Fourie was attacked by an armed gang and was lucky to survive. She was shot in the upper left-leg and treated at hospital after she was attacked by one of the gunmen in the driveway of her Annlin, Pretoria home as she was leaving for work at 5:30am. Four months ago she was also beaten black and blue by an armed gang in exactly the same spot, said husband Frik, 72. The man walked inside, took a laptop computer – he walked straight to it – and jumped across the fence. The family’s erf is adjacent to an empty lot frequented by vagrants. SAPS Pinky Tshinyane, confirmed the ‘house robbery’. http://www.beeld.com/Suid-Afrika/Nuus/Vrou-weer-in-oprit-by-huis-aangeval-20110324

Farm wife Linda van Zyl, 51, fought off
attempted rapist for an hour,Tweeling 2011-03-23 07:04   Tweeling. Farm-wife Linda van Zyl, 51, was attacked in her homestead at 6:40am just minutes after her husband had left in his bakkie to inspect the farm. “The attacker didn’t want anything except to rape me, saying he’d seen it on TV,’ she told Volksblad afterwards. She saw the half-naked black man first when she ran into him in the kitchen just as she heard her husband drive off in his bakkie. (source: Willem van der Berg, Volksblad). But Mrs van Zyl refused to ‘cooperate’ and fought back fiercely, for over an hour. “I kept rolling myself into a ball, I just refused that he could get his way with me,’ she said. “I knew my husband would be back at 8am. She got hold of her revolver but it wouldn’t fire – and when the man grabbed the gun and pointed it at her, it also failed to fire. “All I could think of at that stage was that I did not want to die. I fought so I could live. When the man started trying to rape her again, a shot went off from the gun he was holding but the bullet did not hit anyone. After struggling for so long the man tried to strangle her to death and was ‘soaked in sweat and getting tired’,  she said. Then I told him I was going to pray for him – and the rapist suddenly told her that he wanted her to walk outside with him because he was afraid somebody was going to shoot him. She did. The armed man climbed on a bicycle and rode off just as her husband Nick showed up. He was livid and tried to chase after the man, who’d disappeared in the bush. “I am glad I couldn’t find him because I would have done something very irreponsible,’ said the husband. The farmers’ association’s emergency team was alerted and they cornered the suspect about an hour later together with police, hiding out in a maize-field. The man is 22 years old and apparently known as a local to the farming couple. - http://www.nuus24.com/Suid-Afrika/Nuus/Boervrou-veg-totdat-aanvaller-padgee-20110323-2

When Maynier demanded that Radebe confirm the sale of more than 100 sniper-rifles and abou 50,000 rounds of ammo to Libya last year, Maynier was chased out. ANC-speaker Max Sisulu demanded that Maynier withdraw the comment – and when the white MP refused, Sisulu ordered him removed bodily from the chamber. Radebe did confirm however that his committee had approved more than 75 permits for the sales of more than 9,000 ‘arms goods’ to Libya to the value of R80,86-million – including armoured personnel carriers and C130 transport planes. Maynier said that the sales of the weapons to the Libyan regime ‘make it look as if the South African government is supporting Ghaddafi. “ Only after the violence broke out, did the SA government decide to place an arms embargo.’http://www.nuus24.com/Suid-Afrika/Nuus/Chaos-in-parlement-oor-wapens-aan-Libie-20110324
