Thabazimbi – Zimbabwean migrant Brighton Mafanedza, 26, is scheduled for a court-appearance in Thabazimba magsitrate’s court on Thursday Jan 20 2011 for murdering his Afrikaans employers Casper, 55, and Daleen Aucamp 52 at their Dwaalboom, Faure wildlife farm, near Cumberland on December 16 2010 – The Day of the Vow.

Mafanedza worked as a supervisor at Faure farm.The couple had arrived home that evening, were ambushed, attacked, loaded into their Toyota Land Cruiser and torched, said Limpopo police spokesperson Mohale Ramatseba. Their vehicle was found burnt out 25km away from the homestead with the couple’s charred bodies were inside.Mafanedza was arrested on December 18. Police confiscated a cellphone, credit card and only about $200 in cash. The knife believed to be the murder weapon was also recovered.
