NENIERE COUPLE MANHUNT SUTHERLAND JAN182011 SUTHERLAND FRENCH ARMED COUPLE MANHUNT JAN152011 COP GLENWALL DU TOIT SHOTJan 20 2011 French-born South African Neniere couple on the run from police in the Karoo town of Sutherland since killing one police officer and injuring another one on a farm, resisting confiscation of their illegal arms-cache on Jan 15 2011, were shot dead at a building they had barricaded themselves in, some 20km outsideSutherland just before noon, the SAPS has announced.  A reporter at the scene described it as a "Hollywood style movie", overrun with police and journalists. The couple was shot after barricading themselves inside a house on the farm.  It’s not known at this stage whether the couple returned fire but they were heavily-armed with a shotgun, a hunting rifle and various pistols. Philippe Menieré, 60, and Agnes Jardel-Meniere, 55, evaded police since Friday, after shooting dead police-student-constable Jacob Boleme, 27, and wounding w/o Glenwall du Toiet, 42 in the spine on the farm Hardie. Boer Willie vd Walt, farm De Kroon, Brits, badly injured, brutal panga-attack 5 blacks  Jan 19 2011 - one attacker arrested by security company during fierce gunfight BRITS. Phillipson Abbie 80 throttled to death gardener arrested Jan182011 KrugersdorpAbbie Phillipson 80 retired Roodepoort City cashier, choked to death in front of neighbours:black gardener arrested Jan19201 Krugersdorp - Beeld newspaper - Eighty-year-old retired Roodepoort municipal cashier Mrs Abbie Phillipson was murdered in her heavily-barricaded backyard on Wednesday Jan 19 2011. A ‘trusted black gardener ‘ was arrested for throttling her to death with a shoelace after stuffing her mouth with a rag and taping over her face - in full view of horrified neighbouring workers who had climbed on the roof when they heard her screams. Some of her jewellery was found hidden inside the lawn-mower bag by the cops afterwards. Her cellphone is missing. Namibian assassination: two African-American men arrested with gun-barrel, scope in luggage from USAAfrican-American suspects Marcus Kevin Tomas, Kevin Townsend arrested  - The Namibian – Two African-Americans were arrested for the execution-style murder of 24-year-old André Heckmaier, the son of a local restaurant-owner in Windhoek. The young man was shot with a single bullet through the right-temple on Friday January 7, 2011 at noon, in Klein Windhoek. The Namibian police reports finding a gun-barrel and gun-scope in the luggage of the arrested Americans who had arrived the previous day and were staying at a guest-house. PRAAG supports visit of ex-Israeli foreign minister Tzipi Livni to South Africa - "The idea (mooted amongst pro-Palestinian groups in South Africa) that ex-foreign minister Tzipi Livni of Israel could be a 'war criminal and should be arrested in SA' is ridiculous," said Dr Dan Roodt of the pro-Afrikaans Action group. Land occupation: 500 families: municipal-owned Grens area, Potchefstroom - Frustrated Promosa residents marched to the town council offices on Thursday demanding promised land-rights on the municipal land referred to as “Grens’. (border). Chris Drift, spokesman for  Promosa Concerned Residents Association, said they are incensed at official spokesman Maphetle Maphetle for reneging on a land-settlement deal with acting mayor Eddie Modiakgotle – wherein 500 families from Promosa township were promised land-sites at Grens. Maphetle then refused to negotiate further. The 500 families then occupied  the ‘promised land’ by 6 January despite a stand-off with the municipal security guards, the infamous Red Ants. Theology Prof Hannes Viljoen, family escape unharmed from armed attackers in Pelgrimsrus -  Prof Francois “Hannes’ Viljoen of the Theology faculty at the University of Potchefstroom was attacked by an armed gang with his family while celebrating his 50th birthday at a holiday-chalet.
